‘Tipton Meshes’, is a performative reflection that captures traces of isolation in the domestic space. Collaborating with artist and filmmaker, Joseph Potts, the experimental film portrays the contradictory feelings in isolation. The photomontages accompanied by text echo the three-minute films psychological journey of loneliness, emotional freedom and the desire for human connection. Project Proposal April 2020 STORIES IN ISOLATION Tipton Meshes of the Afternoon The objective is to create visual poetic images that explore questions of emotional freedom within the backdrop of society in isolation due to the Covid-19 lockdown. Photography and experimental film will be used to capture traces of dreamlike imagery within the domestic space. Through improvisation, performance and movement, Thea Brown, a visual artist and head of art will work in collaboration with filmmaker, Joseph Potts. Working creatively and intuitively they will examine concepts of loneliness and the desire for human connection contributing to the layers of diverse stories in isolation.
